The Day After

Well, we had quite a winter storm Sunday night through all day yesterday. The snow fell and the wind blew, and the snow fell faster and the wind blew harder and, well you get the idea. A blizzard is what the weather folks called it. Who am I to disagree? It definitely left a great mound of snow in my driveway, especially where the wind whipped up great drifts. The power flickered twice but didn't go off, through all the mayhem. I am very thankful for that.

The Captain is out tidying the drive after Dawn sent her driveway plow man down. She then came down and shoveled.  There was just too much snow for me to handle. Oh yes, we are expecting about 15 cm on Thursday.

I do believe that's it for now
Cheers, till next time

    1. Aslan says thank you. :) We have had quite a week and the plow has built large snow banks. That's winter in the Atlantic provinces.

    1. Between the Captain and I and our physical drawbacks, moving the snow is a problem, though he can use the tractor.

  3. There is no such thing as a strange kitty position, as far as I can tell from my humble experience. If I wasn't allergic to cats I would probably have 4 or 5. They say that to a dog you are family but to a cat you are a servant, how say you to this, Bonnie? I love your pictures, the snow can be beautiful but Oh so heavy! I'm glad the Captain can use a tractor, since you've had so much of the whiteness!!!

    1. We've had rain so the snow is almost gone. I do agree about cats and dogs. Aslan pretty much does his own thing but still likes cuddles. My Sadie, who's been gone almost two years was so very special. We had an amazing relationship. I still miss her terribly. I'm not sure Aslan will ever fill the hole in my heart left when Sadie died.

  5. Hello Bonnie!
I was wondering how you are, mostly. Winter is gone from our regions, calfs are out, daffodils are up, first bee spotted, butterflies and toads on the loose. I hope you are doing fine, all of you! This weekend we celebrate the holy virgin Mary, in Sweden that particular day is accompanied by waffles.......
