  2. Is this your grandpa, Bonnie? Yes, he does look so young. How can we send our young people off to war? But, yes, we do, and we can not forget the courage of their actions.

    1. He is my husband's father. He was young when he went to war, lived in the trenches, and saw a friend killed, the day after the peace was declared. He was a very quiet man, who died before my girls had a chance to know him.
