Full Bloom

The last few days have been beautiful, with lots of sun, and a bit of wind, but so nice. The lawn has been mowed once, but the grass is growing fast and soon we won't be able to keep up with it.

The trees are greening and the work on the farm picks up as Dawn tries her hand at running the whole kit and kaboodle. She has her dreams of what new things she wants to try, while at the same time, doing all the regular things that keep the orchard going.

The magnolia tree is in full bloom, and some of the petals have even begun to fall. The pink colour does not show up well in this picture.

I spent a little time working on the garden, such as it is. There are some weeds, but not nearly as bad as last year. I just have to go at it slowly, a little bit at a time, which is better than nothing.

Hope the sun is shining in your life.

  1. I adore magnolia trees - when they explode in blooms I know that spring has officially arrived!!

    1. It too bad they don't last, but the ground looks pretty neat with all the fallen petals.

  2. So glad your spring has arrived, Bonnie. Here, after a glorious few days over the weekend the weather has taken a distinct turn for the worse - cold, grey, wet and windy. Sigh....

    1. That is happening here as well. Our weekend is supposed to be rainy, and dull, but with our weather, one never knows for sure until you look out the window.

  3. So enjoyed looking at those blooms. Your spring is a little ahead of ours, Bonnie. We don't have any apple blossoms yet, but there is some green fuzz in the trees.

    1. There are blossoms on the Gravensteins and the green leaves are all out. It seemed as though all of a sudden over the weekend the trees were green. The weather has cooled now, with a few showers, but that's ok.
